DINNER DREAMING...
The heatwave has faded and I with it. A cosy dinner at Spuntino would be nice tonight - it's exactly like a restaurant in New York except it's not, because they don't deliver (that I'm aware of). A nice pan of their mac n' cheese would be splendid; delivered by a bearded, tattooed chap on a vintage bicycle I'm sure. If they threw in a bottle of Bourbon, I could make use of it.

Mmmm..didn't try the mac and cheese when I went the other day - will probably go for it on a miserable rainy day to make it extra comforting. Slight obsession with the aubergine chips and yogurt dip though - deep fried savoury perfection..
ReplyDeleteexactly what the US would be like, except the delivery man would be from guatemala with beaten up, workhorse bicycle, with the seat covered with a plastic bag and a huge chain tied around the thing... now if they could create a gastropub here in nyc, without it becoming impossibly trendy, i would be in for that. come to think of it, we could just swap apts for a week and achieve the same thing! xo bb
