I'm going to watch
this tonight and stay away from the computer for a couple of days. Apologies for the last 3 lacklustre filler posts below, I think I need a little break in the real world. Oh - I just had one in a beautiful hot country. Back when fully recharged. X X X

enjoy the film. I saw it in French with no subtitles which made for a rather surreal three hours. it's a good film but i completely disagree with that person on IMDB because the film's essentially about (to my mind) ennui and not engagement, the ultimate disillusioment of youthful idealism and the ephemeral nature of human emotions. I am one of those weird people who actually preferred the Bertolucci film as I thought it perfectly captured the romanticism of youth and the way that being open and impressionable leads you into extreme situations. I am not sure that the fervent feelings of the protagonists are a mark of authentic engagement with political issues. They seem rather more expressive of wanting to be part of something that is bigger than themselves. Either way, I liked both films.
I just saw this! And am also taking a break from the online world.
Enjoy- and take care xx
Adding this to the Netflix queue as we speak.
