I LIKE VERY MUCH...

Lipstick Queen lippy in Rouge Sinner. Most of all I like the art nouveau packaging and that it's made by the lady who used to make Poppy lipsticks long ago...

I'm thinking of getting a Holga...

This dress by Lizette Snorgaard is supercute...

And I really, really love Lina's photos...

Yikes, I'm exhausted today. Have a happy weekend, I'll be back after a long rainy bank holiday nap...

Hi there,

since a few days I try to find a word but can't get it - but you might because of your knowledge of all things fashion: Do you remember the shawls which came from Italy in the late eighties - these large wooly things which are like a poncho but are not closed at the front, instead they have these two long separate ends which you throw over your shoulders creating a cape like thing? And do you - by chance - remember how they were called? You would make me extremely happy!

Kate

just answer me here or - if you like - you could also send me a mail at kate.mail@gmx.net

Thanks!!! xxxxx

Unfortunately I just remember calling them ponchos, even though technically they weren't - sorry!

Rainy bank holiday weekend? I came back from 30+ in the hills of Umbria to find it admirably sunny here, if not quite as hot. Can't complain though -- much better than rain.

Didn't realize the Bank Holiday was this Monday. Might have stayed a day longer, but truth be told the only way for me to establish self-control over my eating habits is to get as far away from Italy as possible. Which explains why I'll pop over to NY next week. Please, don't tempt me with reasonably priced wine, truffle-scented pastas, and wonderfully cooked veg. The torture must stop....

I swear on Friday evening it was cold and pouring with rain. I just don't believe weather forecasts anymore so I thought with the old tempting fate thing if I said it was going to rain it might be sunny; and it worked! I'm on a pre - Italy diet so I can fill up and fill out as much as I want there - bet Umbria was gorge...

I don't believe them either. I took jumpers with me to devon for the bank holiday and lo and behold, it could have been the tropics. the bbc weather lies.
