thanks for this post! someone very dear to me (from england) taught me to say "white rabbits" on the first of every month. ever since she passed i always think of her on the 1st...and hadn't heard of anyone else who knew about this until today! (people in canada think i'm crazy when i tell them about "white rabbits" on the 1st) do you know where it came from? hello from vancouver! love your blog, N
nancy - I am wishing, wishing for snow - they say it might, but it might just turn out to be icy rain.
stacy - yeah i had to get them in the end really!
natasha - I think it's just supposed to be good luck-not sure where it came from. Children say "a pinch and a punch for the first of the month - white rabbits!" and if someone says it to you before you can, you say :"a nip and a kick for being so quick" although these politically correct days I would think the physical pinch, punch, nip, kick part is frowned upon in schools - they'd probably get sued/arrested for assault! - and thank you.

I had the same thought when I woke up this morning.
p.s. I am glad you got the APC pj's. You're far more patient than I am.

p.s. I forgot: when you say white rabbits you have to say "no returns" otherwise someone can do it back to you. Ah, all coming back to me now...
