DEAR SEE BY CHLOE...

Dear See by Chloe,
I would like to purchase these See by Chloe sandals. Not in red (Browns), not in yellow (Net-A-Porter), not in purple or beige (Poste Mistress), but in black. In size 37.5. Please. Don't tell me to try Harvey Nichols; I couldn't get a word of sense out of their shoe department. The only place that has them in black is FarFetch, where the price fluctuates daily with the exchange rate, but it's always about 20 quid higher than the price of all the other colours I don't want here in London. Add on £23 shipping and it turns out I don't care about shoes as much as I thought I did.

HELP ME.

Well this one is weird because the only place I can find them in black is in a shop in a town in Italy I've never heard of - the name I don't remember - I can't believe nowhere in London thought to get them in black! No worries, I will find them in the end...

Is FarFetch US based? Feel free to ship to yours truly if so...

hee, I dreamed about these shoes last night. BB farfetch is english but they carry stuff online from boutiques all over europe. Those ones are in Italy so the price is converted from euros -poo. But thank you. Never mind they're only shoes!

I tried to find how much it would cost to get them shipped from Italy to Germany (I live in Munich), but it turns out the price is 20€ for shipping (http://www.maisonipi.com/item10011433.aspx?rnd=14698129875) , plus the original 210€ for the shoes the total is again 230€ (204.13 GPB) and then from here to London I guess it's another 10€ (8.9 GBP - german post tariffs are crazy), so in the end it's no real advantage over the original price from farfeched. Sorry!!!

Have you tried Liberty and their new-ish shoe boutique? there's always net-a-porter as well?
By the by, what do you think of all this talk of Sofia Copp's new film set in the Chateau Marmont? Yesterday, I was horrified at the possible prospect of a Lost in Translation II (much as I love the film), but today I am excited and have decided that she's going to play on the hackneyed aspects of both Stephen Dorff and 'The Chateau'. Bit disappointed the Paris / Charlotte Rampling project hasn't materialised though.

Thanks for the offers of help - I'll remember that! I bought them in purple (almost navy) in the end - I think it was the right choice and I love them.

Life with...Liberty don't have them, though they do have some nice Chloe shoes and N-A-P only bought them in bright yellow - so silly.
I think SC's new film will be great! (I hope) As you say she'll put her own spin on those themes. I can so imagine Stephen Dorff as a washed up hellraiser. Ahem. Was the Charlotte Rampling thing ever more than a rumour then?

oh....do post a pic of them....purple is good. (of course brown and black are always easier to "match" but i have taken the fashion advice of the spanish and italians...and easily wear my red and orange camper sandals without batting an eye...;)

oh i didn't know about sofia's new film??? yet another reason to be envious...;)

apparently, she had two projects up and running at the same time and the Rampling / Paris one looked like it was the one that would go ahead at first. When I was talking to Antonia Fraser (ahem....) she said that M-A was actually in the pipeline well before Lost in Trans. so I reckon we will still see a Coppola / Rampling / Paris combo at some point. I have resolved to find her use of Stephen / Chateau knowingly ironic and have especially enjoyed reading about the hotel's ridiculous history.
