India was more extreme than I could ever have imagined - overwhelming, intense, stimulating - a million different feelings at once. Andrea left a comment before I left which said; "Your brain and your eyes and your heart never seem to agree on what you're seeing. You will fall in love and out of love one hundred times a day." I couldn't have put it better than that. I'm home and have had a bath which turned the water dark grey, am marvelling at how Lola is the size of 8 Indian cats and have downloaded 527 photos which I have no idea how to arrange at the moment. Here's a taster for now...
In Rajasthan the only colour in the landscape comes from the clothes people wear...

it looks wonderful- I am very jealous but looking forward to seeing more!
i know that feeling of being overwhelmed! even 3 years later, i still haven't been able to organize my photos from vietnam in any meaningful fashion.
welcome back!
These photos are gorgeous! The colors of the dresses and fruits really stand out in that dry landscape. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!
Fantastic photos! I spent two months in India after I graduated from college & would love to go back.
Your photos are just stunning - they give such a sense of being there! I haven't been to India, but was lucky to visit Bangladesh years ago - your photos really capture that same sense of colourful activity, constant fascination, exhausting heat etc.
the jewelry is fantastic in Rajasthan, and interestingly enough, very much a male dominated industry - So beautiful Claire. xo
