What breed is she, how old, how did you come to live with her, why did you call her Momo?
She is a domestic short hair with a tortoiseshell coat and she is almost a year and a half! I picked her out at the local Animal Shelter because I wanted a little animal friend, and I call her Momo after the orphan girl in the book Momo, by Michael Ende. She also goes by Money Cat, and Momo Money.
How would you describe Momo's personality?
She is very playful and curious, and maybe just the slightest bit neurotic.
What is Momo's favourite food?
Chicken, preferably if it comes from my dinner plate. Bad kitty!
Where is Momo's preferred lounging location? Does she have any signature poses?
She doesn't have a preferred spot, but rotates pretty evenly between the edge of the couch, on top of her cat tree looking out the back window, and on top of the dresser by a window in the living room. She really likes to drape herself over things with her arms and legs hanging free. It is quite a silly pose.
What is a day in the life of Momo like?
She usually wakes up around 4 or 5am to jump on top of us while we are sleeping and lick our noses. Then she gets up with Brendan to eat a little breakfast before settling down for a nap. Around the time I wake up, the neighbor's cat usually makes the way up the 3 flights of stairs out back to visit Momo through the screen door, where they playfully converse and just hang out watching each other. She usually gets excessively playful in the evening and we do our best to wear her out with the laser pointer, and various other cat toys. I have never had a more active cat, and it can sometimes take up to an hour of playing before she is laying on the floor in a restful state.
Do you have any amusing/weird/cute Momo moments or stories you'd like to share?
One thing about Momo is that she is very vocal, but she doesn't usually mew. She chatters and squeaks and makes all sorts of other strange sounds and often talks back to us as if we were conversing. She is also uncontrollably attracted to lights and shadows. If anything creates a reflection, she usually goes nuts trying to play with it. But I think more than anything, she just always wants to play.
Quickfire round:
Birds or mice?
Birds.
Sunlight or radiator?
Radiator.
Tap or bowl?
Bowl. When she drinks from it, she often paddles her feet on the floor. I always wonder if she thinks she's swimming, haha!
Lap or laptop?
Laptop.
Snuggling or stretching?
Stretching.
Cats or humans?
Humans. Whenever people are around, she follows them from room to room.

When I saw that this edition was featuring Erin and Momo, I thought 'Claire must be reading my mind'... well, with a little help haha. Momo seems to be quite a nice companion, and she can definitely pull off that Pierrot collar!
