We interrupt our wall to wall Lisbon related programming for a moment for very good reason because it seems that Emma Fletcher, designer of the much missed
Lyell, which sadly closed its doors last year is now the designer of
Tocca. And look at the fall/winter collection! I'd recognise that handwriting anywhere...
Now all I need to do is work out how to get my hands on it, especially that coat.

The coat , yes please .... the gymslip ? No .
SandS - I'm just so excited - Lyell was one of my favourite labels, though I only had one - one! top from there when I conducted a pilgrimage to their Elizabeth Street shop in NY. Then you could also get it at a shop in Paris - at the time I didn't realise what halcyon days those were because first the Paris shop closed, then Lyell itself - so sad. I remember Tocca from the nineties when everyone had those dresses but lately I've only seen its perfume products around and I think Marie Anne Oudejans the original founder moved on so hopefully it's a new beginning for them clothes wise. No idea if /where it'll be stocked in London. ← Ha, I probably should have written all that in the post!
oh yes, the coat! want. hmn, i'd been all set on a similar-ish (and probably much cheaper) sessun coat... now look what you've done.
C - oh yes, but check the fabrics on Sessun stuff. I was all set on the navy/red stripy jumper then checked and it's acrylic. I still love my duffel jacket from there but it's 25% polyamide... l'horreur...
interesting you say that as i noticed yesterday that the coat i've been eyeing is 20% polyamide and i shuddered.
C - we are sensitive souls who need to be swathed in natural fibres!
Oh! I hadn't caught up on this yet. Very Lyell - the model is frightening thin, but the clothing is covetable...
