Read my latest existential crisis post on Paris for Harper's Bazaar here.

This is a great line: "Paris offers fleeting euphoric moments that form our memories of it. But you can't grasp at or expect them; these ephemeral instances happen naturally or they elude you. This is what makes some visitors to Paris feel let down when they don't experience it as magical or romantic." So true. That's Paris. xx

Just back in London and catching up. This is your best post to date on Paris, I guess because it is more 'aware'. "But what if you are there, but you still wish you were there?" perfectly sums it up. I agree and have been disillusioned repeatedly, I now say Paris is good but London is much better. Paris Syndrome...
Have fun on your birthday celebrations tomorrow! x

I live in the 18th which is far from posh Paris. It's a city that is so diverse, it's impossible to summarise. But I sense there's a dreamlike quality, caught up in clichés, (Chanel, striped t's, Jean Seberg, cigs, cafés, 60's nouvelle vague) that some like to think exists here, when in fact it's a city moving forward and changing everyday.
