ARMCHAIR TRAVELLER...

Honestly, you'd think I'd be more committed to preparing my tax return than to dreaming of Sweden today. The pictures are from last winter when I went to Stockholm and the island of Sandhamn in the outer archipelago. I loved how every window had a light in it to protect against the darkness of the long winter, and candles were never skimped on. I think it's time to put up my fairy lights from Granit.

If Jane - what do you call them - Christmas lights? We (all) need to put them up earlier than that - it's too dark - and like fairies they sprinkle their magic dust and make us feel better.

i have always called them "christmas lights" but according to google--they have other names...??
"...Christmas lights (also called twinkle lights, holiday lights, and mini lights in the US and fairy lights in the UK)...

learn something new eachday...

but fairy lights and your explanation sound better...i'm off to buy some now!
